OUR
HEADTEACHER

My personal info
Mr Allen
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Billinghay Church of England
Primary School since starting as Headteacher in January 2008. Prior
to this post I was Deputy Headteacher at Ling Moor Primary School,
North Hykeham, Lincoln for 5 years and I began my teaching career
not far down the road at Metheringham.
On a personal basis I am married with 2 young children and live
in Lincoln. When not working I enjoy nothing more than spending
time with my family.

THE
AIMS OF OUR SCHOOL
Billinghay Church of England Primary aims to foster the development
of skills, knowledge, interests and positive attitudes for all our
children during their primary years.
• Recognizing our historic foundation,
we aim to preserve and develop the religious character of the school,
nurturing a sympathetic understanding
of the Christian faith and respect for other world faiths and cultures.
• The school aims to serve its community
by providing a high quality education within the context of Christian
belief and practice. We encourage
an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promote
Christian values actively both
through our programme of collective worship and through the general
experience we offer to all our pupils.
• We believe that the school is an extension
of the home, reflecting the values of a caring family; providing
a happy and safe environment,
promoting a healthy lifestyle in which all members of our school
feel both welcome and valued.
• To provide high quality teaching and opportunities
which maximise each child’s potential, allowing them to achieve
to the highest level.
• To ensure that all children have equal
access to a broad and balanced curriculum irrespective of gender,
race, religion or disability
which fosters creativity both in school and through extra-curricular
activities.
• To value each child for what he/she can
do and celebrate the good.
• To provide challenge and stimulus for
all our pupils which develops enquiring minds and a love of learning;
• To develop an understanding that courtesy,
good manners and consideration for others are very important qualities.
• To keep up to date with the ever changing
technological world and to prepare our pupils to be independent,
active and informed citizens
who acquire knowledge and practical skills relevant to the world
around them.
