Class 2 have been looking closely at the homes and important buildings
around our village. We have been comparing them to the homes and
important buildings on the Island of Struay, (where Katie Morag
lives)
We have all made a collage of our home or building in Billinghay
and a model of a home or building on the Island of Struay.
Problem Solving
with Practical Numeracy
Key Stage One have been learning about solving problems, using
the practical Numeracy games,
The children had to work out how many ways they could score on
the dart board, what was the maximum score they could achieve in
one go on the bean bags and aiming game as well as how many doubles
there are on using the giant dominoes.
We have great fun and learn lots in Key Stage One.
Class Two is all about learning how
to become independant. We also have SATS in the summer term which
contributes to teacher assessments throughout the year.
The children have said that class two is a fun,
exciting place to learn.
We all dressed up as super heroes for the day, we raised a lot
of money for Children in Need and we had a great day to. Thank you
to all those mums and dads that sent some money in.
We all enjoyed the
Rainbow Fish performance so much last year; we invited the Blunderbuss
Theatre Company back again this year.
On Thursday 28th February
Tree House and Key Stage One watched a fantastic puppet performance
of ‘The Selfish Crocodile.’ It was truly a magical and
entertaining performance and everyone really enjoyed it. It was
full of singing and dancing as well as many laughs, but also had
a strong friendship message for the children. The scenery and puppets
were amazing and kept everyone thoroughly enthralled.
