EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING AND MENTAL HEALTH PATHWAY

13.11.17

Lincolnshire Children’s Health Services Update

Dear Parents and Carers

I would like to draw your attention to a new web based resource: Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Pathway which has been devised by Lincolnshire County Council. This service is intended to make sure that young people have access to information and advice in one place, and are aware of local services, that can help support them when experiencing emotional wellbeing, mental health or behavioural concerns. The information provided within this pathway is also designed to help families of children and young people experiencing emotional wellbeing, mental health or behaviour concerns and the professionals working with them.

The pathway aims to provide children and young people, and their families, with better access to the right support at the right time so that they can access relevant services and support for concerns which young people may have such as: low self esteem/confidence issues, minor self harm, exam stress, anxiety and stress, body image, grief, loss and bereavement and transitions anxiety.

The resource can be accessed at: www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/ewb.

It is a county wide emotional wellbeing support service to Lincolnshire children and young people up the age of 19. It is available to parents/carers whose children meet the criteria:

  • Normally resident in Lincolnshire or attend a Lincolnshire school.
  • Are registered with a Lincolnshire GP.

A link to the resource will also be put on our website.

Kind Regards

Mr R Allen
