Billinghay C of E Primary School

A busy few days in school celebrating Lincolnshire Day! Our classrooms have been buzzing with local pride as the children dived into the history, culture, and flavours of our wonderful county. Here is a look at what our fantastic classes have been up to: Red Arrows – Our digital designers created their very own Lincolnshire flags using 2Paint! The children loved exploring the vibrant symbolic colours and rendering their own unique digital creations. Vulcans – Hands-on creativity was in full swing! They crafted physical flags and had a brilliant time waving them proudly around the school. Typhoons – A true culinary exploration! The children baked traditional Lincolnshire Plum Loaf and enjoyed a feast tasting it alongside local favourites like Lincolnshire Poacher cheese and haslet. Spitfires – Putting their engineering skills to the test, they have been busy building local landmarks and maps of Lincolnshire. Hurricanes – From scratch to the oven! They had a wonderful time learning fascinating facts about our county's heritage while baking their very own delicious fresh bread. We are so proud of how well all the children engaged with their learning. What a wonderful way to celebrate being a true "Yellowbelly"!
