Welcome to Kingfishers!
Meet the adults in our Reception class…
"Hello I’m Mrs Clarke and I’m originally from Nottinghamshire. When I’m not at school I am kept very busy with my two little daughters. We like to bake, make things and get messy! I am a huge animal lover and I love spending time with my family and friends.’’
"I’m Mrs Brooke and I love the outdoors-walking, visiting the island of Jersey and ‘geocaching’. When I am not at school or pursuing these hobbies I am a busy granny who likes to spend time with 2 lively grandsons.’’
"Hi, I’m Mrs Blades and I have my family at the heart of everything. I’ve been happily married for many years and I have 2 grown-up children. I am very creative and enjoy a hobby of crafting in my spare time. I also love a party!!!’’
Autumn Term 2016
Welcome to all children new to our school. We are going to be learning lots of things this term. Our topic is ‘The Enormous Turnip’ and we have lots of lovely things planned for you to do.
We will also be learning the sounds of the alphabet in our phonics lessons, this is really important because it will help us to read and write. We will have lots of fun playing games to help us get to grips with the Phase 2 phonic sounds.
What number can you count to? We will be getting better at this throughout the term and making sure we can recognise numerals to 10 and beyond.
We will practise writing our names and make a story map to help us retell the story of the Enormous Turnip.
The first term is a very busy but very exciting time in Kingfishers.
Kev the Kingfisher will be looking for clever Kingfishers to reward!
